Walking the promenade deck this morning and taking some photos of the various ships in the harbor moving in the channel. We are in a perfect situation to see the parade. The USS Farragut cruising towards the Verrazano Bridge with the Navy Admiral on board to start the parade.

An hour later, the 250th Celebration Parade has begun! First a couple of helicopters, then a couple of Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey aircraft. Next come the harbor Fireboats, leading the Tall Ship Parade.

Here come the tall ships and then two Huey Helicopters flew in, displaying the American Flag.🇺🇸

More Tall ships sail by, majestic and beautiful. I’m not looking to identify all of them but if you see a flag flying you can easily identify where they are from – like Texas for example.

Wow – (Benny and) the Jets ZOOM over head (and at the end of the aircraft display they flew over again. Just WOW!

More planes and ships are cruising and flying by. Look closely at some of the tall ships, they have all their sailors on the masts😱 and sometimes they are singing!

So much to take in and sometimes not fast enough to catch a photo or video. Thank goodness Shirley is taking photos too and some of these are her’s. Between the two of us we might have captured most this amazing experience celebrating the 250th! An amazing ending to the aircraft display with the jets flying over and creating an American flag again with their colorful smoke – God, I love this country and am proud of everything the people in this country have created, achieved and fought keep our country free.
