A beautiful yesterday afternoon – still crisp and cool. We did a short hike on the Wildflower Trail and then back to the house for a relaxing evening in spite of the chill. Always fun to read the various street names and signs around this area.

The mountain wildflowers are so sweet and starting to bloom even with the chill.

The Wildflower Trail is an easy hike and brings you to an open grassy area where cattle roam in the summer. We find an old rusty barbecue grill that we learn later was used for large group gatherings. Our Chef is thinking how he could do a great barbecue on it LOL

Today we’ll take another hike, a little longer. At 5,000 feet, it’s a slog for me as a flatlander and I have not been hiking in altitude for a couple of years. The reward at the end of the day is worth the exertion!
