Our Sunday is spent relaxing and then to see Les Miserables at the Altria Theatre. The theatre was known as the Mosque Theatre when it opened in 1918 as both a theatre and meeting place for the local Shriners to convene. It’s quite beautiful inside – better pictures on the internet than I was able to capture. The parking situation created a close arrival time for us.

Les Miserables was fantastic music, voices, and sets. This was the North American Touring company so may be coming near you.

Driving back to Shirley’s we crossed the James River looking quite beautiful – even through a car window.

I am now on my way home and looking forward to the warm Sarasota weather. luckily the snow isn’t starting in Richmond until later. Richmond is a beautiful place and visiting a friend is the best!
