Atlantic Ocean Sea Day – 10 October 2025

What a rock and roll night on the ship! The storm moving up the East Coast is giving us another rainy, 12 foot wave sea day.

This is a spa day – massage for Judy and facial for me. Then some lunch. Fajitas with tempting margaritas and grapefruit something or other to accompany the fajitas.

After lunch, I see people outside on the deck staring up. Curious, I’m able to catch a photo of a Masked Booby bird and two Peregrine Falcons riding the wind along side and above the ship. Then it started to rain and the birds moved on as did the people who moved inside.

The ship’s galley is open for a tour this afternoon. The tour includes the pastry station in Manfredi’s, the main course preparation area, the crew’s mess hall, the butcher area, and last the pastry area. Interesting to see where your food is prepared. The t-bone meat is from Germany, the prime rib is from Creekstone Farms, Kansas USA. It’s also nice to be able to see the people behind the scenes who prepare the food fresh everyday.

Tomorrow the ship will arrive in Charleston, NC. The weather is not going to be very promising due to this front. As I look out the window in our room, the sky is dark, it’s raining, and there are still 12 foot waves. Here was our position at noon.

Time for dinner in the Aquavit section of the World Cafe. We now know the servers names and they know ours. Definitely martini time!
