From Santa Fe, I returned to Illinois with my sister Judy to visit for a couple of days. Thankful the weather is just as nice as Santa Fe – 50 degrees in the morning, 70’s in the afternoon. A taste of Fall!

Each morning we take a nice walk around on a path in an area with corporate buildings, hotels, and bees!? Of course, being only 8 miles from O’Hare airport, the giant planes fly overhead every 2 minutes. People just ignore them since they are so common. There is also another interstate being built – 390 – which will connect the north western suburbs with O’Hare. Lots of new logistics company are setting up business preparing for the easy access to the roadways.

Part of this trip is visiting family and friends. First a stop at my sister Cindy’s home. I spent some time chatting with her and my niece Brittany. Because I grew up in this town, I also have to drive by my old houses. Some things never change, except the trees are huge!

Another stop to see a friend from my high school days who I have kept in touch. His new home is beautiful. A tram down to a creek behind the home and a buffalo family in the front yard. We enjoyed time catching up over lunch.

Because it’s Illinois, you are bound to see a corn field and a soybean field – somehow still remaining among the ever expanding suburbs.

Finally, a visit to see my niece Melissa and her family. Tomorrow back to Florida and my ‘normal’ routine and my next adventure!

Nice that you could catch up with family and friends👍😊
