Montreal Bike Tour – Day 4 – 8 July 2025

Today, the weather is cooperating and we will ride! Although the Fairmont Tremblant is quite nice and comfortable. Lots to do around the hotel and in the ‘downtown’ Mont Tremblant area just outside the door.

Breakfast early and then load into the van to shuttle back to where we stayed yesterday so we can ride the trail that we should have road yesterday. Crazy, huh? Yet, when you come on one of these bike trips, you really want to ride the entire trail and not skip anything. So our start is at the train station in Nominingue.

The weather is perfect and the trail is beautiful. Again, forests and meadow and lakes. There are also a couple of bridges that cross a river. Just a beautiful day for a ride.

One stop to adjust bikes – and sometimes swapped them out. These guys are have tires changed on their bikes by Jim our tour guide. Almost looks like Randy is tapping on Jim’s head LOL

We arrive for another planned stop at the train station we were at yesterday in the rain – Labelle. What a difference a nice day can make! Very busy! Snacks are always waiting for us.

As we leave Labelle, we encounter a detour of about 5 km where we have to ride a country road.

Not so bad as we spot some llama’s grazing in the field. All the while, our GPS app keeps telling/warning we are off the route!

Our goal for the ride is from Lac Nominigue and end at the train station in Mont Tremblant. Others continue riding to the Treetop Walk – Sentier des crimes Laurentides, another 15 miles. Half of the group boards the van and Jim shuttles us to the area where the other riders will meet us.

We did not walk to the top of the tower – its 12 story tall and takes an hour or two to walk up there.

Here’s a video link.

We walk the grounds and enjoy a beer at the cafe as our reward for the long bike ride.

Back at the beautiful hotel, everyone takes the few hours before dinner to relax. Some in the pool, some take a nap, and some just relax in their room. We meet up in the hotel lobby and walk to the ‘downtown’ Mont Tremblant just outside the back of our hotel. It’s a quaint area with lots of shops, restaurants and amusements such as bungy jumping, gondola rides, etc. Megan is checking things out!

Our dinner at a.Mano, a trattoria, is delicious and it is easy to overeat. Our guides order a variety of appetizers, we decide on our entrees, and then a sampling of desserts. They are filming a table of four near by and we are told they are doing a commercial. Definitely, a restaurant worth enjoying.

The bathroom is unisex with stalls and the sinks outside of the stalls, shared by all. Made us all laugh! Blue sinks for guys, pink for girls, yellow for I don’t know.

When we leave, we wander the area. I had to peak at the menu at the pastry shop because they have the famous Beavertail Pastry. No one can pass up the chocolate shop without going inside. Even looking might cause you to gain a few pounds no matter how many miles you road your bike!

The results from the ride today are below. One is from the RWGPS app and the other is my Polar app.

It’s been a super biking day and I am looking forward to tomorrow’s ride from Mont Tremblant to Saint Sauveur – about 33 miles.
