The adventure begins, once again at Tampa airport. Fortunately, it looks like the weather is clearing and the flight is showing on schedule. Now a prayer for the equipment to be good to go today.

I have never flown Air Canada before, They tell you in their app exactly what time things happen. I was also impressed at the check-in desk when an agent actually loaded my bag on to the scale and tagged my backpack. Quite friendly compared to the surly experience I had a couple weeks ago.

Always amusing sights at the airport – a young college girl in front of me at Starbucks with her blanket and a box of Captain Crunch. Her card wouldn’t work to pay so her Dad stepped up and used his card. A little browsing in the Duty Free where I need nothing, especially not a giant Toblerone chocolate bar.

On the plane, smooth flight and an actual meal!

Arrive in Montreal, easy customs and onto a hotel shuttle to the Hilton Garden Inn. Strangely, it is close to the airport but in an industrial area. Was wondering, while on the shuttle, where the heck are we going?! Arrived at the Hotel and everyone else was there already.

First stop, cheers bar in the hotel! Then some cards and food. Off to bed after a long day.

And by the way for those who have never been here, lots of signs in French and English.
