Up at 4 AM and drive to Sarasota airport to try again today. Thankful a parking very close to the entry gate. I will not be checking my bag today, so head directly to the gate. As usual, a person who is not TSA is being turned back. Do people read signs?

My 6 AM flight from Sarasota to Atlanta is on time. My 8:20 AM flight to San Diego is on time. Yay! Off for a fun weekend.

Russ is being the wedding party limo driver and picking people up at the airport. Glad to not have to do an Uber! Thanks, Russ!

The Paradise Resort is lovely. It is located on 44 acres of a peninsula in the bay. My room is very comfortable and right on Mission Bay. Cute art in the bathroom.

A meet up with others who have come in for the wedding. Walking the property it is quite beautiful and there are lots of activities – water sports, sandy beaches, biking, swimming pools, and miniature golf. Feels a little like a Disney Resort.

The landscaping is ‘California tropical.’ I wander around and come across a sign for the wedding rehearsal later today.

Everyone meets up for lunch at Liberty Station. A food court type building called Liberty Public Market has many choices so each person can pick their own. Lobster roll sounds good to me!

More to explore before heading to my room to collapse from a long day of travel. Maybe I’ll climb the landmark tower tomorrow!
