Bar Harbor – September 28, 2018

Our last full day in Bar Harbor has us meeting our friends Stacy and Rich at the dock early morning as they disembark their tender from their cruise ship. While waiting, I take a few pix of the waterfront. I just love it here.

We all load up in the mini-van with Steve sitting in the way back on a stool – 7 person van, 8 person full.

Stacy and Rich have never been to Bar Harbor or Acadia National Park before. We do the tradition – loop road to Thunder Mountain, walk the Ocean Path and then a stop at Jordan Pond to hike the loop. Fortunately the rain held off and only a little drizzle now and then. The trees are really beginning to change to their colors. The hike seems even prettier today.

Did not even mention the cool weather as we are all pretty much getting used to it, just in time to go back to FLA.

Back to the town of Bar Harbor for burger and beer at Atlantic Brewing Company. Stacy and Rich have to head back to their cruise ship. We start walking back to the house to start some packing – and take naps! Quick stop at Morning Glory Bakery – not pie just some pumpkin chocolate chip bread.

Evening at Stewman’s for dinner and last of the fresh lobster. Another great day in the North!

Saturday morning now – clean-up the house, finish packing, load-up and spend a few hours in town before heading to the airport for the trip home. Rod and Elsa have to leave first. We will definitely be back again…maybe even next year.
