Monday morning, we take a walk to the Bata Shoe Museum. I can say I have never been to a museum dedicated to shoes. If you are ever in Toronto, it is worth taking a quick tour. Not only did it cover the history of shoes, it had every era and style. Crazy!

The way the shoes are displayed and the plaques describing each shoe is well done. We spent an hour reading and looking at shoes!
A current special exhibit is all cowboy boots. Gene Autry, Robert Redford, Tom Mix, Designer boots made for country starts, and of course the white boots of the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. Even a child’s pair I think I had when I was 5 years old. Fantastic!

We wandered by a wonderful sculpture on Bloor Street called “Community” by Kirk Newman commissioned in 2001.

Now time to head to our cruise ship. On board, and a beautiful view of the Toronto skyline. Farewell, Toronto.

There’s a Ferragamo shoe museum in Florence also Worthing
