Our tour starts where we went yesterday afternoon – the Treetop park near Mont Tremblant. We are able to pick up the Le P’tit du Nord trail next to the parking lot. The outhouses are quite uniquely shaped.

I finally remembered to take a picture of the kilometer marker and one at the end of today’s ride, around 33 miles. We end at Piedmont which is close to the town of St-Sauveur where we will spend the night.

This section of the trail is very smooth even when we get to the cinder/gravel section. The trail is also much busier. Our regular tour stopping points are always at a train station where we can fill our water bottle, grab some snacks, and have bike repairs.

Once you see the varied, scenery, it is understandable why it is busier in this section. I stopped quite a few times because the scenery was truly majestic.
I enjoy the tranquility of the outdoors when riding a bike. Cruising along today, the birds seem like they are singing louder. You can hear bull frogs croaking as you ride by some of the ponds and lakes. The scents of the damp forest floor and the wildflowers everywhere are intoxicating. I guess today, I am appreciating being able to do these bike tours and get out into nature. This is the last full day of our bike tour so I make a point to absorb the experience.

One interesting place just beyond the first stop at Ancienne Gare de Saints-Agathe is a huge gravel pit in full operation. A little further down is a logging plant where plywood is being made. First industry I have seen on the entire ride.

We stop in the town of Val-David to take a break, walk around a little, and eat lunch if we want to. After all the morning snacks no one is really that hungry.
Our group decides a ‘liquid lunch’ of beer, lemonade, and a cider at the Le General Cafe. Cute place where we can sit outdoors around the back.

Megan finds an actual phone booth!

A quick stop at a bike store to see if they have any bike shirts or t-shirts. Nope. One of the bikes has an interesting name – GasGas.

Our day comes to an end, the bikes are loaded into the van and we head to our hotel for the night – Manoir Saint-Sauveur.

Tonight our final dinner together as a bike tour group is at Moe’s Restaurant. Tomorrow is our last ride, a short one in the morning. We will bid farewell and head our separate ways. I’ll wrap up the tour blog tomorrow. Then, we stay for a few days to experience Montreal! 🇨🇦
