After the hurricanes, the weather began to cool down. This is a wonderful time of year to be in Florida – beautiful sunrises and sunsets and blue skies.

The Marie Selby Gardens in Sarasota opened up soon after the hurricanes to show off the orchids – all saved. Part of the gardens were still closed because of the boats that had washed ashore on their property during the storms. Definitely worth stopping to see the flowers!

A visit to a friend’s Florida ranch shows that life goes on after a hurricane. The beautiful day was enjoyed by all.

And my neighborhood recovered nicely too. Great to be in Florida!
