Once back on the ship at Algoma, there were a couple of activities to participate in. First was the geology workshop in the Expedition Center and then a reception for prior Viking cruisers on the back deck.

The geology workshop was fun. There was a short lecture on how to identify rock types using a kit provided. We were able to identify all the rocks with a little help. No grade, but we did pass!

The reception was on the back deck with a short speech by the travel consultant and some live music. This is always a favorite place of mine. The weather sure has been perfect!

Tomorrow we will be in Alpena, Michigan on Thunder Bay in Lake Huron.
