Thankfully this travel trip is not as crazy as a week ago. There is always a story in the summer!

Our flight on United to Chicago was on time and even arrived early. We actually had food served to us in First Class. The amusement was watching the flight attendant (who wore an apron that said her name was June Cleaver) attempt to open the tiny Titos bottles. She eventually came to us to ask for help. LOL

When the plane lands at Chicago O’Hare, there is runway construction happening so planes have to go to a holding area and wait to get the go ahead to cross – 45 minutes in hold! And naturally at O’Hare, your plane arrives at C31 and you have get to your connecting flight at C3 – exact opposite ends of the terminal. The airport is very busy considering it is a Tuesday at 7:30 pm……summer travel. Everyone made the connection thankfully.

The flight to Duluth is uneventful. The only issue is the airport is so small there are no taxis unless you call to reserve them. We booked a limo and crammed 6 of us into the limo to get to our hotel – luggage in the back and on our laps. Very funny actually!

Tomorrow we will adventure around downtown Duluth before we board our Viking Cruise ship on 15 August.
